How to Build a Cottage (part 8) – In the Red?

So after the somewhat gruelling experience of painting the cottage gunmetal grey (using oil based primer), the next step was to paint it the final red colour that matches the house.  The great thing was that this is a water based paint and it goes on way way easier that the primer (at least in part because we are painting over the primer).

The initial impression is great – we have two sides down, and two to go – and we have our fingers crossed that the weather says cooperative!  Once this is finished then I have to get a few hundred feet of 1×4 and paint it off-white so I can get the windows and doors trimmed…
